Ms. Penamon would like to do an special environmental science project with the students. The students will be collecting water samples from various rivers and lakes in the toledo area to determine what bodies of water are healthy.

February 28, 2012 begins priorty registration for Achieve friends and family for the 2012-2013 school year.

The free breakfast buffet is available to all enrolled students between 8:15 and 8:45am daily.

We are in the process of updating our Local Wellness Policy. Federal law requires that each school district review and/or update their wellness policy on an annual basis. Every public school academy, such as ours, is considered its own district. Please take a few moments to review the policy below and provide your input either as a comment, or you can email your input to Kathy Hayes. Be sure to indicate the school name in the email. The deadline for parent community feedback is Friday, December 9, 2011.

Semester exams will be held January 10-12th, 2012. Students will be dismissed at 10:55am. Please have transportation arranged. There will be no school on Friday, January 13th, following exams.

The Holiday Dance will take place on Saturday, December 17th, 2011 from 7-10pm. Students are allowed to bring one guest ($2 must have proper ID) and formal attire is required. Students will not be permitted with gym shoes or ball caps. There will be a full dinner served and a great DJ for dancing.The dance will take place at Achieve.

There will be no school December 22nd through January 3rd, 2012. The Achieve family wishes you a safe and happy holiday.

The RttT committee will be using Logic Models to implement and manage improvement efforts throughout the school. Models focus on activities, output measures, and both short and long term outcomes.
